Puffy Sleeves with an OOMPH!

'Do it with an OOMPH
& spread it as a SYNDROME!'

Heyllo there! Keeping this quoted line as my personal style mantra & spreading it as a syndrome, I am too happy to share my first blog post with all you readers. :)

Its said some trends are meant to stay in the past but definitely puffy sleeves are not one of them. Lately I m personally very much fascinated by the designers who have managed to reinvent this 80's trend as a modernized uber chic trend. These voluminous & poofy sleeves helps giving your outfit a polished look & conveys a sense of confidence in you by drawing the eye upward as they accentuate your shoulders & neckline.

This being one of my most favorite dress from my closet, I wanted to share it as my first post on the blog. I was looking for a dress varying from the regular boring sleeves, so I saw & ordered this dress from ASOS quite a time back & it still fits perfectly. The puffy sleeves, subtle grayish blue color & the OOMPH of checks is what I loved about it as I saw it.

Talking about the look, I am sharing 2 looks here that can be carried out in any plain straight fit dress with some basic variation of accessories & color contrasting.

Look 1: Regular Day out/ Shopping Day Styling

Since the color of the dress is bit sluggish, I have styled it casually with a pair of bright red ballerinas & black handbag. Here, color contrasting is very important to balance this look. Try this look with any black/blue/grey colored tone dress.

Look 2: Evening out/ Party night styling.

Here I have teamed it up with a bold black waist belt (a must have in a girl's wardrobe), black clutch & high heels. This wide belt & accessory variation can accentuate any simple dress giving it a formal look.

Tadangg!! That's how you can style up & flaunt your puffy sleeves outfit.

Remember, it is always best to match your puffy sleeves with a slim fit bottom to balance out your body & look evenly. These sleeves are bold enough so there's no need to make your outfit bolder by wearing equally larger pants. Keep it classy & balanced & you'll have enough OOMPH to rock this trend. ;)

Hope you liked it & it has been a useful post for few of you readers. To stay updated for more such posts, follow me on Instagram & Google+. Any comments/ suggestions are humbly welcomed. :)
